STN programs were established and have grown because of community involvement and voicing their ideas for a better environment for the children. As each program became a part of STN, the staff ensured that service and resource overlaps occurred to create a “net” that fully supports the entire community in different ways.

Children of the Sun Community Coalition
In 2017, STN received the State Targeted Response Team Grant to the Opioid Crisis from Washington Health Care Authority. STN quickly formed a volunteer community coalition as the grant required and that represented several sectors of the community we serve.
Youth Empowerment & Leadership
STN supports all youth in our communities to gain their voice about issues, expand and explore their creative skills, and build self-esteem to feel empowered.

Tribal Food Sovereignty
Healing relationships through traditional foods, restoring native species, and reclaiming land-based practices is the purpose of STN’s tribal food sovereignty program.
Indigenous Birth Justice
Indigenous birth justice (IBJ) revitalizes ancestral traditions and supports healthy births and families across Indigenous communities.
